Flat Iron Green... Nail Polish that it is...!

      I have a few obsessions that I need therapy for (well a lot of obsessions) and purchasing nail polish is one of them. I can never enter a store without purchasing a new color! I swear I have at least (insert drumroll) 200 bottles of nail polish. I have bubble gum pink to african daisy yellow and everything in between. For my first nail polish post, I decided to show off my newest color.... It is called Flat Iron Green. The color looks almost black but you can definitely see the green in it! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS COLOR! Not only, do I LOVE the color but the price was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS AS WELL... TRY $1.99!  I couldn't beat that with a stick! Especially since I like changing my nail color every single day!!!

The TRADITION continues.....

       For the last 5 years, it has been a Clarke-Jones family tradition to spend Christmas Eve together at my house. Due to unforseen circumstances, Christmas Eve will not be at my house this year nor will Christmas dinner and I am a little saddened by it. I think my sister n law knew that my spirits were down, because she offered to have Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner at her house this year, no questions asked. So, even though Christmas will not be held at my house this year, the same activities will go on without a pause! I look forward to the family banter, good food, and singing Christmas carols with my family! It warms my heart to know that the Clarke-Jones family tradition will go on without a hitch!

What a little POP OF COLOR will do!

      Ever since I saw this picture I have been dreaming of duplicating the same exact look!!! I am truly a sucka for fashion and when I see something I like, I CAN NOT SLEEP until my goal has been met! Case in point, I have been on the hunt for each piece of this outfit!!! While tweeting today, I ran across a vintage website that had the same exact color shoe in the pic, of course I ordered them with an added bonus of the shoes being in my price range. Next up, pant and blouse! So the HUNT IS ON, IN FULL EFFECT....

Thankful....

       As I think about how my life has twisted and turned this year, I can honestly say, what didn't kill me, only made me stronger! There were times, that I thought I just wasn't going to make it. I cried, prayed, cried again and prayed a whole lot. Through it all, I perserved and kept it moving. God and I talked a whole lot this year and not only do I have a stronger faith in HIM, I now know that, I can do all things through CHRIST THAT STRENGTHENS ME!!! As this year winds down, I am truly THANKFUL......

ABUNDANTLY thankful for:

my parents who no matter what I do, always have my back

my kids who brighten my day when the sun just doesn't seem to shine as bright on me

my brothers(well...... seriously, they taught me how to share)

my job(without it, I wouldn't be able to provide for my kids)

good health, sound mind

and

friends who get me and never seem to judge when I f%$& up!

As the year comes to an end, I am thankful that I have lived through it and look forward to what is to come!

Where have I been?

       I've been M.I.A. for awhile lately and its all because I have been a dedicated mommy/coach to 20 cheerleaders! My daughter is on my school's competition cheerleading team, so my afternoons and weekends have been booked! My day starts bright and early at 5:30 in the morning and I am non-stop after that. I teach by day and coach in the afternoon! When I finally get home, the only thing I want to do is hit the sack, literally!!!! Although it has been tiring and my body has been screaming for a break, I totally enjoy watching her strut her stuff on stage! She totally rocks the stage!!! So, as long as she is happy rah-rahing and dancing her boo-tay off, I will support her!!!
